Heartfelt Apology....

Few days back I participated in the anti-corruption movement…….
And today I have bribed a railway TC for getting a berth in a reservation bogie!!

I am against Corruption sounded good when the drama was on. But the fact is that corruption rests in our DNA. We cannot get rid of it! Few months back, whole of India was out on streets fighting against corruption. Indians presented their soundless strength and power which thundered the government to bow in front of them. The drama is now over; it flied off like a cold evening breeze. Had it made any change? If you think so and are proud to have won the war, then discontinue duping yourself. It hasn’t altered anything….

Won’t you bribe the traffic policeman now? Won’t you pay off a TC for traveling in a reservation bogie?  Marching and tweeting against the corruption will not make our image corrupt free. We often close our eyes deep, when it comes to seek admission in a reputed college on low grades. We Indians have used corruption as a tool to get our work done. Corruption is like cancer in public life, which has not become so rampant and perpetuated overnight, but in course of time. Corruption starts at the top and percolates down to the whole society. It is not only confined to the metros but has spread its roots in villages too; it is not only confined to ministers but also has involved common man like me!!

For the last few months we all messaged and emailed our friends to support anti corruption movement, but will that help to change this mega problem? Rallies may help in generating awareness to change the laws, but what if we break the same rules in the immediate future. Is it right to blame government all the time for corruption? Aren’t we equally responsible for this evil? All that will work is change... change in our attitude.... change in our lookout….

SAY NO TO BRIBE!!
I am blameworthy and accounted myself to the corrupt culprits of the nation…..
I am at fault…I am embarrassed…
I AM SORRY……
